GO BEYOND . . . . . Not in my wildest dream that this tagline was slowly and unknowingly embedded in me during the formative years of my life. As a young lad of poor parents from a very lowly barangay, I was never jealous and begrudging: of friends from affluent families; of classmates who, to me, were more scholarly; of co-professionals having earned a degree or two in college; of the religious who attend daily mass; and of respectable speakers in programs that I attend. Instead, I made these circumstances as my launching pad to improve myself. I blamed no one for being poor. Not even my parents. In fact, despite the seemingly unsolvable problems that I encountered in my younger days, I thanked HIM for giving me a chance to prove that poverty is never a bar to education.
